O'ahu's North Shore is home to the world's most famous big-wave beaches, where waves go from virtually non-existent in the summer, up to 50 feet in the winter!
This 20-mile stretch of coastline also boasts some of Hawai'i's least developed, lushest countryside and houses a high concentration of artists and musicians who find their muse in the beauty of the place.
A geographic anomaly both above and beneath the ocean, you'll also find the island's tallest peak here - Mt. Ka'ala, which provides a dramatic backdrop to the coastline. It's no surprize that dozens of movies and productions have been shot here.
