As a small child, I remember thinking that if I held a camera up to my eyes at night while I was dreaming, I'd be able to capture that lucid moment forever.
Over the years, I've had the absolute pleasure of working with surfing's greatest photographers. For me, Peter "Joli" Wilson was always the one who could catch that magical moment in the life of a wave and a surfer and immortalize it in an image.
Joli's been coming to the North Shore of Hawaii for 24 years and, like the rest of us, has never gotten enough. I hope these special images of his not only encourage you to visit us, but offer those of you who do come a lasting, tangible "dream".
